CARGO + ROUTE

Southbound

Schooner Apollonia is based out of Hudson, New York, which is where we load most of our Southbound cargo. Our usual southbound stops (listed from North to South) are:

  • Saugerties, New York

  • Poughkeepsie, New York

  • Milton, New York

  • Newburgh, New York

  • Beacon, New York

City

When we reach New York City, we either swing up into the East River to Long Island City, or go straight to the RETI Center Barge in Red Hook, Brooklyn. We host a Sail Freight Friday public event on Friday night, then head Sunday morning up the Buttermilk Channel to South Street Seaport Museum in Manhattan, where we join the Fulton Stall Market with our selection of sail freight goods.

Northbound

After loading up in Manhattan and Brooklyn with Southbound cargo, the schooner heads back North, often stopping in:

  • Ossining, New York

  • Garrison, New York

  • Kingston, New York

We end our trip back home in Hudson, New York.
